STEP 1 – Preparation

Begin your installation of your garden zip wire kit by unwinding your main cable from the sending point to the landing point.

Once all zip wire cable is laid out, roughly line up the run to ensure you will be able to achieve your desired length.

STEP 2 - Zip Wire Spring Break

once you have reached your second attachment point, take the two 1-meter springs and feed these onto the blank end of the wire in the following order: Ball, Spring, Washer, Spring, Wire rope grip to secure.

STEP 3 – Zip Wire Attachments

Once complete, using the blank end of your zip wire kit cable, wrap the wire around your tree or post of your landing point and secure it in place using 3 wire rope grips.

return to your sending point and wrap your tree sling (2m cable) around the sending tree.

attach the tree sling to a chain link and then attach the link directly to the rigging jaw screw tensioner.

STEP 4 - Set up

Unwind your jaw screw tensioner to it's maximum length.

Take your main zip wire cable and attach the heart shaped thimble directly to your rigging jaw

IF THERE IS STILL PLENTY OF SLACK AT THIS POINT WRAP THE TREE SLING AROUND THE SENDING TREE AGAIN

STEP 5 – Tensioning

Once zip wire cable wire is secured in place and tight, place any type of screwdriver into the center hole of the tensioner.

rotate your screwdriver anti-clockwise to bring both jaw arms together and create your desired tension for your zip wire.

STEP 6 - final touches

Once all steps are complete take your pulley and place this over the zip wire.

secure the pulley in position using a snap on hook and attach this to your monkey seat.

adjust monkey seat height to suit the rider.

have an adult tests the run to ensure safety.

go wild!

extra tips and help

if you are hitting the floor please un-tension the wire and move the structure higher up the trees until the perfect height is found.

if you are going too fast release tension from your wire using the rigging jaw screw to create natural sag in the wire.

if you are going to slow release tension from the jaw screw and unclip the wire. loop the tree sling around the first tree a further time to create more tension
